The Alpha Course is created to outline the core principles of the Christian faith that all denominations agree on. We believe that what unites us is infinitely greater than what divides us. The Alpha Course is an effective form of evangelism when run by and through the local church. By focusing on the fundamentals of Christianity, it opens the door for Alpha to be used in almost any context so that everyone has the opportunity to engage in discussions and be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What do I need to start a group? Just 3 or more people. Max 12.

Click on PDF below to view host notes for each episode. Just simply show the video and use the discussion questions. Make sure to keep the time to less than 1 hour 15 minutes max. Remember, you are there to help foster conversation, not to teach! If possible, it'd be great to have 3 people to support:
- 1 person set up tech & video
- 2nd person communication (email reminders)
- 3rd person prepare snacks and food (can rotate)
time commitment:
7 to 13 weeks including
one full Saturday morning to afternoon
(feel free to adapt to your own context)
* If only have 5-7 weeks, our recommendation is to use episodes 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12. (can watch two episodes in one session)
